I’m linking up today with LifeRearranged.com and Latinaish.com for Insta-Friday and Spanish Friday.
You can see my week in pictures and read about it in English and Spanish.  Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you had a good week–or at least moments of the week you can look back on and cherish.

la sierra (lah see-EHR-ah) = the saw
This table saw was given to my dad by my great-uncle after
he passed away.  My dad works in construction, so this
is definitely a treasure to him, a cherished heirloom.

Saturday I got to spend some time with my dad—something fun I don’t always have the chance to do.  My boys played while my dad and I (mostly my dad) worked on cutting some lumber for a Spanish curriculum toy I am developing.

Tuesday was a rough day.
My heart is heavy for them, and I am proud of them for persevering like they have and reaching for hope like they have.

los amigos (lohs ah-MEE-gohs) = the friends

My boys got to have a play date on Wednesday, which helped lift my spirits and made me focus on something besides the sadness.  We don’t have play dates very often so my boys were SUPER excited.

Can you say moh-RAH-doh?
el morado (ehl moh-RAH-doh) = the purple

Thursday I woke up at 3am to find this surprise in my kitchen  Apparently my oldest son had not fallen asleep like my husband thought.  Rather, he was working on a complete masterpiece.  Boys!

el gorro (ehl GOHR-roh) = the knitted hat
I love it when Jefe picks out his own outfit.  He is getting so big!

Look at this sweet gift I got this morning.  There is nothing like the unconditional love of your children.

Feliz Friday everyone!  Keep seeking out moments to treasure and capture them not just with your camera, but with your heart.  ðŸ™‚

Usborne Books in Spanish About the Beach & Ocean
